Richard
helps on most installations, purchases all of our materials,
and looks after our vehicles & office.
Richard originally apprenticed as an Aircraft Fitter with
the RAF, and obtained a HNC in Mechanical and Production Engineering
and a HND in Computer Aided Design. Prior to working for Sarum
Solar he worked as a Design Engineer in the Aircraft industry.
He has rebuilt & refurbished three of his own houses,
including all plumbing work and a loft conversion. He has
been very interested in alternative energy since first hearing
about it in the 70s. In 2004 he trained as a solar heating
fitter on the Shine 21 course at the Centre for Alternative
Technology.
